Tiphaine Brochu: “Women are training and specialising in jobs that were originally reserved for men”

Tiphaine Brochu joined the Cupa Stone France team in 2020, dealing with customer service and the sales process for people who visit the Aizenay agency. As a result of her work, she was recently promoted to the position of assistant manager of the agency.

What does International Women’s Day mean to you?

Women’s Day is an opportunity to highlight the inequalities that still exist between the two sexes. If there were no disparities between men and women, we wouldn’t need to have this day.

How has the role of women evolved in your sector, or over the course of your professional career?

Women are training and specialising in jobs that were originally reserved for men. The increase in their skills has enabled them to be accepted in these fields.

Have you encountered any problems in your working life due to the fact that you are a woman?

As women, we can quickly be relegated to the rank of incompetent. Sometimes, a customer will still prefer to deal with a man.

What do you think your biggest contribution to Cupa Group has been?

My biggest contribution to the team has been the reorganisation and structuring of the agency.

Why would you recommend being part of the Cupa Group team to other women?

Because Cupa Group allows women to rise to key positions.
